Biz Tip of The Day: Never Allow an Employee to Use His/Her Name to Create a Website

An important tip is something I learned the hard way in an organization I belonged to; never allow a volunteer or an employee to create a website, for example, under his/her name of which only they have control. It took a year to get the ex employee to take down that inactive site.
I know of another case where a disgruntled employee resigned and kept posting false negative information about the company on the company website, and nothing could be done about it since only he had passwords and control.
