Biz Tip of The Day: Warnings have been issued from the FBI, and other governmental agencies about the threat of theft of banking, and other valuable business information online. Oddly, small businesses are more targeted by computer hackers, since they know bigger ones most likely have an IT department with tighter securities online.
As a result, it is recommended that you have a dedicated computer to use for banking, stock trading, or any other monetary transactions. Just in case someone cracks your codes, at least the rest of your business data would go unscathed. To further protect this dedicated computer, it should be forbidden to use it for e-mail, or web surfing.
Make sure that two trusted people know all of the codes, and passwords, in case one person is not available, or resigns without leaving the codes behind. There have been cases of disgruntled employees quitting, but keep on posting damaging information on the business website. Such ex-employees have been known to totally delete the business data. From the beginning you must safeguard yourself and your business from any of these kinds of set backs, or ruination.
