Biz Tip of The Day: Four Things You Need to Know About Your Cell Phone

Biz tip of the day: Four Things you need to know about your Cell Phone

FIRST (Emergency)

The Emergency Number worldwide for Mobile is 112. If you find yourself out of the coverage area of your mobile network and there is an Emergency, dial 112 and the mobile will search any existing network to establish the emergency number for you, and interestingly, this number 112 can be dialed even if the keypad is locked. Try it out.

SECOND (Hidden Battery Power)

Imagine your cell battery is very low. To activate, press the keys *3370#. Your cell phone will restart with this reserve and the instrument will show a 50% increase in battery. This reserve will get charged when you charge your cell phone next time.

THIRD (How to disable a STOLEN mobile phone? )

To check your Mobile phone's serial number, key in the following Digits on your phone:
*#06# .

A 15-digit code will appear on the screen. This number is unique to your handset. Write it down and keep it somewhere safe.

If your phone is stolen, you can phone your service provider and give them this code. They will then be able to block your handset so even if the thief changes the SIM card, your phone will be totally useless. You probably won't get your phone back, but at least you know that whoever stole it can't use/sell it either. If everybody does this, there would be no point in people stealing mobile phones.

And Finally....

FORTH (Free Directory Service for Cells)

Cell phone companies are charging us $1.00 to $1.75 or more for 411 information calls when they don't have to. Most of us do not carry a telephone directory in our vehicle, which makes this situation even more of a problem. When you need to use the 411 information option, simply dial:

(800) FREE411 or (800) 373-3411 without incurring any charge at all. Program this into your cell phone now.
This is sponsored by McDonalds. Feel free to print and carry with you.

Biz Tip of The Day: Send Press Releases to Newspapers

Biz tip of the day: Send press releases to newspapers anytime something significant happens within your company, such as, when someone is promoted, or changes jobs, you introduce a new product, or you are having a seminar which is open to the public. Your could offer an incentive for people to attend a seminar. Say, call this number and ask for a free coupon, or any other legitimate gimmick to entice them. See www.usnpl.com for a list of newspapers, natonwide. It's a good place to start.

Some columnists will describe your product in detail in their syndicated column if it is of interest to them. They are always on the lookout for new products to write about. Just think of the millions of people you could reach if such an interest were taken in what you are selling.

    It will increase your business,
and put you on the map:

Biz Tip of The Day: Picture Your Targeted Prospect When Writing Copy

Biz tip of the day: Picture your targeted prospect when writing copy for any kind of ad, for any kind of product, or program you sell. Pick out, and visualize that most typical customer. Visualize a real person, you have had personal dealings with.

Write your ad as if you are writing it to appeal to that customer. Should your business be strictly Online, you can still visualize your ideal customer from Online dialogue you have had with them. It is a must that you are in touch with your ideal client's desires, wants, and needs. Whenever you allow yourself to play this out you will write a better ad. Pictures are worth a thousand words, and this 'picture' you will translate into copy that sells better.

Imagination, and a certain amount of training, or self-training is necessary to write good copy. It seems to come easy for some, and others may have to work at it. Don't be shy, if there is someone else in your company who can do it better than you may be able to, by all means enlist them to write the copy. Don't hesitate, delegate. In time, through observation, and training, you may surpass that talented person.
