Biz Tip of The Day: Men are Usually Encouraged to Take Chances

Biz tip of the day: Men are usually encouraged to take chances, become entrepreneurs and go for the brass rings throughout their lives. Sometimes women aren't given the same encouragement. This is my call to action -- women of America, wake up, realize your potential and talents – the brass ring is there for everyone. I encourage all of you to go for it! American Ingenuity has no boundaries.

Biz Tip of The Day: Don't be Afraid to Use Your Own Ingenuity

Biz tip of the day: Don't be afraid to use your own ingenuity. It cannot be said enough – learn from others who are successful, but never discount your own talents and knowledge within. If it were not for ingenuity and innovation anew, we would never have anything new shared, bought or sold; business and society would be dead. You are worth more than you know to your own success. Here's to American Ingenuity!

Biz Tip of The Day: Do You Have Major Decisions to Make?

Biz tip of the day: Do you have major decisions to make?

When making a decision of minor importance, I have always found it advantageous to consider all the pros and cons. In vital matters, however, such as the choice of a mate or a profession, the decision should come from the unconscious, from somewhere within ourselves. In the important decisions of personal life, we should be governed, I think, by the deep inner needs of our nature.

Enjoy the rest of the day with friends and family.

Biz Tip of The Day: Physical Courage vs Moral Courage

Biz tip of the day: Physical courage vs. moral courage:

“Physical courage, which despises all danger, will make a man brave in one way; and moral courage, which despises all opinion, will make a man brave in another. The former would seem most necessary for the camp; the latter for the council; but to constitute a great man, both are necessary.” This is an important quote by Charles Caleb Colton. After almost 200 years, his comments--on doctors, generals, lawyers, priests, politicians and others still ring true today, often with a sting to the delight and reward of the reader.

Think of all the knowledge, insight, guidance and pleasure which would have been lost forever if not for the written word. This is one reason I invite you to share what you have to offer in the form of the written word. It has become so much easier to write with the advent of the computer and programs to help guide you to write a compelling book about your experiences, unique knowledge and expertise to share. It can be used as an unending sales tool to enhance your position, and your business. Find out how easy and affordable it has become with our effective programs. Biz Tip: Are You Writing or Thinking of Writing a Non-fiction Book?

Biz tip of the day: Are you writing a non-fiction book or do you want to write one? Is it a struggle for you to get started? Have you already started and find it difficult to organize and sail along without stumbling blocks? There is a solution.

I used one of our own programs at www.AuthorSuccess International.com to guide me and finish writing “Buzz Your Business & Be The Best” in only six weeks. I did not have to fret over where to start or where to go next. Each step is laid out, plus so many other helpful tips to get you started in the business of promoting your book, yourself and whatever you have written about. A great idea is to write a book which can be used as an inexpensive marketing tool, since you can also sell your book, especially where you are invited (often even paid) to speak.

After finishing the writing it gave me free time to work on the graphics and the front and back covers, then off to be published. My readers have given the book rave reviews. One enthusiastic entrepreneur purchased four of my books already – three of which to give other friends in business. She proudly showed me her dog-eared copy with highlights on almost every single page.

Biz Tip of The Day: Become a Good Judge of Character

Biz tip of the day:

Become a good judge of character:

Women and men of retiring timidity are cowardly only in dangers which affect themselves, but the first to rescue when others are endangered:

Jean Paul Richter

Become a good judge of character. Learn who the ones are you can rely upon. Be prepared to be relied upon by others. Remember, your character will be judged just as you judge the character of others.

Biz Tip of The Day: I Have Not Failed

Biz Tip of the Day: Thomas Edison once made the statement, "I have not failed, I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work."

Author and speaker, Jack Canfield who has sold over 500,000 books and is a co-founder of the "Chicken Soup for The Soul " series, revealed that 144 publishers refused to publish the first Chicken Soup book. Perseverance brought success after many, many failures in both these his case and that of Thomas Edison.

My point is, try new ventures and don't fear failure. Every successful person has had multiple failures you never hear about, but you do hear about their successes. Learn from failures; without attempts and failures it is rare for a person to ever become a success. Every failure brings experience and knowledge for the next challenge.

On the other hand, don't be afraid of success. Actually such a fear does exist among many without their being aware of it.

Read, gift and share my book “Buzz Your Business & Be The Best,” which has inspired readers to take on new challenges with more insight and confidence.

Biz Tip of The Day: the Top Three Most Wanted Things

Biz tip of the day: The top three most wanted things are Happiness, freedom and peace of mind. By giving these three things away, they usually come back to us many times over. These ingredients are just three pieces of the puzzle. The more complete your puzzle the more the likelihood of attaining wealth, which isn't even mentioned in the top three.

There are those who have worked hard and achieved financial wealth without the luxury of ever experiencing the top three most wanted things. Don't allow that to happen to you. It isn't worth it for the sole sake of financial success.

I talk a lot about the importance of what we think and about many simple things we can do to realize success.

Biz Tip of The Day: The Most Important Profession in the World

Biz tip of the day: “The most important profession in the world is parenting. The second is teaching, and everyone is a teacher to someone.” This bit of wisdom comes from Coach John Wooden. It applies in his world of sports, as well as in the world of business.

It bears out the importance of mentoring to others. The best way to learn is to teach. Continue considering yourself a student of your own profession; learn from others so you may teach and mentor others -- thus putting into motion the cycle of learning, teaching and learning. Coach Wooden went on to say, “A leader's most powerful ally is his or her own example.”

Biz Tip of The Day: In the End, All Business Operations Can be Reduced to Three Words

Biz tip of the day: "In the end, all business operations can be reduced to three words: people, product and profits. Unless you've got a good team, you can't do much with the other two." Those are the wise words of Lee Iacocca.

To generate more profits in your business, produce a compelling book to present your ups, downs and successes. Write how your expertise can help your clients more than your competitors can help them. You may write such a book, have someone on your team write it, or make it a team effort. Some companies publish a collaborative book with each chapter written by a different contributor. Such books become great selling tools.

Do it with the help of the Business Owners Writing System :

Biz Tip of The Day: Identify Your Brand Promoters

Biz tip of the day: Identify your brand promoters. These are ardent fans of you and your product. Keep them happy by rewarding them with incentives to keep referrals coming your way. There are always special perks, free product samples, and exclusive content unique to your business. You can share online videos using their own voice or even live in the video. They will be much more likely to share such marketing information when you involve them. Utilize as much social media, as well as word-of-mouth, to get the job done.

Biz Tip of The Day: Never Stop Learning About Your Profession

Biz tip of the day: Never stop learning about your profession. Take a leadership lesson from someone famous:

You know the greatest danger facing us is ourselves, an irrational fear of the unknown. But there's no such thing as the unknown – only things temporarily hidden, temporarily not understood.” Can you guess who said it? It was Captain James T. Kirk, commander of the U.S.S. Enterprise. He led one mission after the other into the unknown with great success.

Follow the captain's example. Keep on exploring and learning with your own creativity while learning from others. Continue to learn from team members, and even competitors. Learn to roll with the punches when your business climate changes. Now go forth and lead into the future where no man has gone before.

Biz Tip of The Day: The Most Successful Businessman

Biz Tip of the day: "The most successful businessman is the man who holds onto the old just as long as it is good, and grabs the new just as soon as it is better." Wow, Mr Iacocca, this is right up our alley. We have something better for entrepreneurs everywhere. Check out what a guide program can do to help bring out your own ingenuity and see what you can do to make better things happen for you and your company just as Mr. Iacocca says.

Biz Tip of The Day: Describe What You do in an Elevator speech

Biz tip of the day: Describe what you do in an elevator speech. Use a well polished 20 second elevator speech,or elevator pitch, as it is sometime referred to. Make it one you can deliver between floors – that's where it got its name. Explain how you and your expertise can help them grow their business, make or save them money, manage their time more efficiently, make their lives easier, eliminate stress, or perhaps all of these things. Present whatever unique benefits you and your wares offer.

Whenever asked by anyone what you do, be prepared. One way to do it is to start off by saying “My name is ---.” Memorize every word but make it roll off your tongue naturally. Look the prospect in the eye, smile, while keeping your shoulders back and speak with confidence. Your passion and sincerity will make a strong, lasting impression.

Secondly, give your business name, “Work for XYZ Company,” or “My business is saving money for entrepreneurs …. .” You will need to modify according to your specialized business. Hearing results rather than details of how you help the listener is vital. Stay away from technical details. Sometimes it is important for you to mention your geographical location of operation; only mention it if it is pertinent.

This and numerous other business basics are covered more extensively in my new book Buzz Your Business & Be The Best. You may purchase it at: www.MargueriteCavanaugh.com.

In the book I explain how I wrote Buzz Your Business using the Business Owners Writing System: www.BusinessOwnersWritingSystem.com, an Author Success International program to help entrepreneurs write their own compelling story of struggles and successes. Their expertise and how they and their wares can benefit their clients. I am marketing director for Author Success International and understand the value of such a book used as a dynamite sales tool to grow business.

Biz Tip of The Day: I Do Not Know Any Reading More Easy

Biz tip of the day:

I do not know any reading more easy, more fascinating, more delightful than a catalogue: Anatole France

Entrepreneurs have become millionaires in the catalogue/e-catalogue (English spelling) business. This is how the Dutchess of Cambridge's parents, the Middleton family, became millionaires in a small village in England. Their success with “Party Pieces” sounds rather like an American success story, doesn't it? If you can supply enough of each product to sell it might be something for you to consider.

Biz Tip of The Day: Submit Press-releases to Newspaper News Department

Biz tip of the day:

Continued from yesterday ...
Submit press-releases or news to the news department of newspapers, but to the editorial department if it is a magazine. Faxes are preferred or e-mail rather than snail mail. Snail mail is not as timely in our point-and-click world today. Artistic liberties aren't just taken in the Hollywood: journalists also feel compelled to alter your copy, so don't fret over it. Jump right in. Usually, they had rather deal with your company or organization rather than a PR agency.

Press-release publicity is free, and keep in mind it carries more credibility than paid for advertising.

Good photographs dramatically improve your chances of getting published. Readers are mostly unaware much of what they read in both local and national newspapers is carefully orchestrated PR. It makes it more acceptable and believable without blinking an eye.
Don't be shy, always ask for editorial coverage first, before paying for advertising. It can be presented as a precondition before placing a paid ad.

Be sure to read my book for a lot more information to help you toward success in your business venture no matter at what level you may be. Buzz Your Business & Be The Best can be purchased at my website: www.Marguerite@MargueriteCavanaugh.comor at www.Amazon.com  www.BarnesAndNoble.com, plus www.BooksAMillion.com.

Biz Tip of The Day: Use Press-releases for Free Publicity and Advertising

Biz tip of the day: Use press-releases for free publicity and advertising. Before you do a press-release have a designated person in your business to handle press calls and online contacts. Inform all of your staff about the contents of the press-release. Several times lately, I have encountered employees of a company who say they were unaware of an ad or a particular offer made by their company. This shows a definite lack of communication. It doesn't bode well with customers who might be excited by what they saw or read.

Should your client base be far and wide then submit your press-release to newspapers in any areas where they fit, as well

Bear in mind that all newspapers need press-releases to help fill up their papers with news and offers which appeal to their readers. It always makes them look good whenever they can peak the interest of readers.

You might even gain a TV or radio story out of it if the information sent to them is worthy. Bear in mind that their standards are more select than newspapers.

More on press-releases tomorrow …

Biz Tip of The Day: Don't Forget The Advent of The Advertorial

Biz tip of the day: Don't forget the advent of the advertorial which supports your news,
but is paid for by you. You have read these editorial-like articles, I am sure, which give interesting information on a particular topic of general interest, such as obesity, or making us look better. These articles are read by six time more people than regular ads. Usually at the very top of the article you will see in small print the word 'advertisement.' You can say a lot more in an advertorial than you can in a regular ad. Check it out. It might be just the avenue of advertisement for you.

Your Success is Our Business

Biz Tip of The Day: Commitment is Key to Success

Biz Tip of The Day: Commitment is Key to Success

Biz tip of the day: Commitment is key to success. W.H. Murray said it best, “The moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help that would never otherwise have occurred. A stream of events issues from the decision, raising unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance, which no man could have dreamt would have come his way.”

Actually, in my humble opinion, based on years of experience, it takes more than just commitment. Among them are courage, commitment, enthusiasm, loyalty to our code of ethics and faith. When any one of these is missing it changes the outcome of any endeavor – and not for the better. We begin to see great things happen in our private and business lives when we combine all of these ingredients throughout our endeavors.

Your Success is Our Business

Biz Tip of The Day: Success is Not Always About Numbers

Biz tip of the day: Success is not always about numbers, charts and the bottom line. It's about people. How we interact with our superiors, subordinates and all others often determines our success in business much the same as in our private lives.

Loyalty to our code of ethics, toward our friends, family and others is a positive force. Start out knowing loyalty is something that must be given in order to receive it back. We cannot become great in our endeavors without loyalty.

Biz Tip of The Day: Even Imprisonment Can be Overcome

Biz tip of the day: Even imprisonment can be overcome:

I know I have a very tough five months ahead of me, but I understand, too, that I will get through those months knowing that I have the ability to return to my productive and normal life, my interesting work and future business opportunities:

Martha Stewart

After her sentence was served this is what she had to say:

The experience of the last five months in Alderson, West Virginia, has been life altering and life affirming.
