tip of the day: Use press-releases for free publicity and
advertising. Before you do a press-release have a designated person
in your business to handle press calls and online contacts. Inform
all of your staff about the contents of the press-release. Several
times lately, I have encountered employees of a company who say they
were unaware of an ad or a particular offer made by their company.
This shows a definite lack of communication. It doesn't bode well
with customers who might be excited by what they saw or read.
Should
your client base be far and wide then submit your press-release to
newspapers in any areas where they fit, as well
Bear
in mind that all newspapers need press-releases to help fill up their
papers with news and offers which appeal to their readers. It always
makes them look good whenever they can peak the interest of readers.
You
might even gain a TV or radio story out of it if the information sent
to them is worthy. Bear in mind that their standards are more select
than newspapers.
