tip of the day:
Sit,
stand, and posture for success. Looking and acting like a leader
helps you become an effective leader. Psychologists have
proved that practicing positive postures does improve how you
perceive yourself as well as how other perceive you. Smiling, for
example, instead of frowning changes your outlook and attitude and
that of others, too. Try a simple exercise such as smiling at a stranger
while out shopping and you will almost always get a smile back.
Before
a meeting, presentation, or a speech it is good to walk around with
arms up; sit at with your feet up on a desk; stand on your tiptoes
with your arms in the air. Never make yourself small by hunching over
notes just prior to any of the events mentioned.
In
a meeting always sit or stand up straight. When sitting lean forward
with hands up to make a point. It is better not to cross your legs.
Rest your arms on the chair arms if available and you are more likely
not to cross your arms.
Now,
go out there and use your power poses to be a more effective leader.
