What it Takes to get on the Author's Path to Success

What it takes to get on the author's path to success is not always easy to solve, alone. Here is a question that for writers, and authors, alike. Why is it, when an individual has an idea, and wants to develop, or market a new product, it is commonplace, and expected that they invest in hiring one or more consultants in that field, to do research and development, (R & D) and will go on to do the same thing later, with a marketing consultant, in order to sell that developed product -- and yet, a writer rarely applies those same business tools in the molding, and shaping of, production of, or promotion of developing an such an appealing product as a book?

There are many reasons are for this kind of mindset. You may be surprised at some of the following five reasons.

First, is not realizing that similar tried and true business techniques also work with something as creative as writing. There are no tool dies, or actual parts that you can hold in your hands to fit together, but, in reality, a writer's words do have to come together enticingly, have substance, and work for the reader, all at the same time.

Secondly, like inventors, some are better at producing a product, while others are better at marketing a product. Some writers, much like inventors, need outside help for them to see the light to get past some huge stumbling block. Many authors have said that they wish they had invested early on in their careers, in order to excel sooner, without so much frustration.

For example, bouncing ideas off colleagues, and experts in the field of writing often spurs a writer on to explore new ideas, or to better some good ideas. Realistically, writers don't have access to colleagues, and experts at will, and since they don't have a vested interest in your work, it is always better to seek an expert consultant for guidance.

The thing that is so great about the Author Success Programme, offered by Author Success International, is that each of these stumbling blocks, or areas of concern are dealt with between each writer client, and his/her Author Coach.
